I’m a broken record on this but…
If anyone is looking for a slippery slope, HERE IT IS. One of the two national political parties in the USA doesn’t believe that most of the country has a right to bodily autonomy.
The GOP cannot lean further right.
I can’t.

Well, Mitt Romney is a dildo.
Well, he IS trying to fuck you royally - though not in a fun way.

Al Madrigal reports on location from Oklahoma, where a proposed amendment to its “personhood” bill would effectively outlaw male masturbation.
I was disturbed by many of the comments. It seemed that people don’t understand satire and the double standard being played here.
My good friend, @beardedstoner:
No sex ed. No birth control. Pregnant? No abortion. Have a kid? Stay home. No income? No assistance. #GOPplanforwomen
[NB: Of course, if the GOP get their way, it will affect more people than just cis women.]

We’ve reached a national consensus. People in the educated class talk like social progressives and behave like traditionalists. People in the less educated classes talk like social conservatives and behave like libertines… To me the thing that took the stuffing out of the culture wars is that the social fabric began to repair. Teenage pregnancy rates are down. Abortion rates are down. Crime is down. There are problems with the social fabric but they no longer have to do with the sexual revolution.
When Rick Santorum talks about this stuff in the way he does, it’s theology, not sociology. And believe me, there are very few Americans who are strongly theological, even the ones who attend services every week.

TRIGGER WARNING: “Abortion Saved My Life,” by Mikki Kendall
“My two kids at home almost lost their mother because someone decided that my life was worth less than that of a fetus that was going to die anyway. My husband had told them exactly what my regular doctor said, and the ER doctor had already warned us what would have to happen. Yet none of this mattered when confronted by the idea that no one needs an abortion. You shouldn’t need to know the details of why a woman aborts to trust her to make the best decision for herself.”
Ummm….ever heard of Stephen Colbert, Ricky? Just this past Wednesday, Colbert was sporting some of that Catholic Ash as a forehead adornment, while spouting his liberal propaganda.
Fuck You, Mr. SAINTorum.
